February 2015 Update: A Request from Rwanda

I recently received the following letter from Rwanda. Pastor Mathias’ plea underscores the need for pastor training in Africa. It also demonstrates the reason why APT Ministries exists.

Dear Pastor [Chuck],

Greetings from Rwanda, East Africa. After visiting your website, I felt moved by your ministry in action. As a Bible School teacher, I consider your ministry to African Pastors as an answer to my prayers.

Many pastors of Rwanda, including most of evangelists and of elsewhere in Africa, are not trained to teach the Word of God nor have access to preaching materials. Some of them copy and paste other’s sermons with distorted messages, if not erroneously repeating what they heard from other sources other than the Bible.

It is against this that I humbly call upon you to put Rwanda on your schedule for the year ahead, 2015.

May the Lord continue to guide and protect you as he opens doors of opportunity to serve him in the hurting nation of Rwanda, a nation  in the process of healing the wounds of the 1994 genocide perpetrated against the Tutsi. Your ministry is needed like the one of Paul in Macedonia.

Sincerely,

Pastor Mathias T.

Please pray for the nation of Rwanda. While APT Ministries does not currently conduct workshops there, we hope that we can one day.
