2023 APT Report

2023 was a year of ministry expansion for APT Ministries!  Thanks to all who prayed for and supported this ministry.  In every workshop we conduct In Africa the pastors and church leaders express their heartfelt gratitude and praise to the Lord for the opportunity God has given them to participate in the Thompson Bible workshop!

In 2023:

  • We trained 3,553 pastors and church leaders through 41 workshops in 11 of the 13 countries we are now committed to.  Total trained to date:  27,581
  • The majority of the 3,553 were trained by our “National Training Teams”
    • We currently have established National Training Teams in 8 of the 13 countries we are committed to.
    • By the end of 2024 three more new Training Teams/countries should be certified.
    • By the end of 2025 the remaining 2 countries (of 13) will have Training Teams.
  • Through your giving and prayers, over 5,400 Bibles are “on the ground in Africa” or “on the way to Africa.”  This is the most Bibles we have ever had available for training in a single year!  If funding is provided then our goal is to train 4,560 in 2024 as well as purchasing all the Bibles needed for 2025. 

In 2024:

  • Lord willing, we will introduce training in Ethiopia and South Sudan.
    • South Sudan is fully funded!
    • Ethiopia is not funded at this time.
  • In January 2024 we conducted a “test workshop” in Sioux Falls, South Dakota with pastors of international churches here in the US.  We targeted “African” pastors but had Native American and Hispanic representatives as well.  Those attending and those asking about our training represented other US metropolitan areas including, Minneapolis, Omaha, Kansas City and Austin.  We are prayerfully considering expanding our workshop training to “Metropolitan International Church Pastors” here in the US.  This training would be funded entirely by individual registration fees and not from the APT Ministries budget.  If you are interested in finding out more about this opportunity, please contact Chuck Ballard ([email protected]) for more information.
